Rum

This book stores the essence of the work of the great Persian poet of the 13th century and invites us to a meaningful meeting with him. Rumi speaks with astonishing directness to modern man, just as he did to his contemporaries eight hundred years ago. His worldview is expressed without spin and his spirit captures life in its entirety, through observations on situations we live every day, helpful advice and profound wisdom on everything that concerns us, from matters of the heart to understanding human nature and encapsulation of the nature of the divine.
It is, after all, a long meditation on how to live our lives with meaning, inspiration and goodness, by a great, extremely modern poet, despite his eight hundred years, who expressed the wisdom of the Sufi inimitably.
Let us never lose hope for the Truth! Hope is your only safety in the path you choose, and even if you decide not to walk that path at all, may you never give up hope.
When you feel joy in your heart for no reason, know that somewhere, sometime, you may have given joy to someone. Similarly, if you suddenly feel sadness clouding your heart, it is because, at some point in your life, you must have caused someone grief. These feelings are gifts from beyond that allow us to learn a lot from very little.
