Recruit the residents and use their properties to outwit your opponents. Only the most impressive metropolis will offer its creator the coveted title of Great City Planner!

In Citadels, players take on new roles each round to represent characters they hire to help them acquire gold and build buildings. The game ends at the end of a round in which a player erects his eighth building. The players then tally up their points and the player with the highest score wins.

The remastered edition of Citadels features twenty-seven characters - eight from the original Citadels, ten from the Dark City expansion, and nine new ones - along with thirty unique building areas, and the rulebook includes six predefined lists of characters and areas in addition to the launch, each created to encourage a different style and intensity of play.
